Hailing from Chelmsford, Rat Boy, otherwise known as Jordan Cardy, is making some major waves on the indie-rock and hip hop scenes. Offering a unique cheeky chappa brand of offbeat charm, Jordan seems to be filling venue after venue with screaming teen fans. They all just seems to be beyond thrilled to worship someone who perfectly tunes their general annoyance at the world into catchy upbeat, tunes. Cardy only released his first mixtape, ingeniously titled The Mixtape EP, two years ago, which almost immediately saw him being signed to Parlophone records. More recently, his 2015 album Sign on and this year’s Wasteman have only fuelled his fan’s hunger for his witty social commentary and original material. Named one of NME’s Ones To Watch this year, definitely expect to be seeing and hearing more of Rat Boy this year.
